Chindeni is a small camp. As part of the Bushcamp series, this is a fun stop for walking enthusiasts on a multi-day camp crawl. The hosting and guiding are of top standards.
It is a healthy drive from Mfuwe so best booked for 3 nights or as part of a combination of camps in this vicinity. It is a good game area in the South Luangwa
Chindeni is a sister camp to Bilimungwe, but has an altogether different theme and character. The camp nestles on the apex of a permanent oxbow lagoon, offset by the magnificent Nchendeni Hills.
Raised on wooden decking, with stripped wooden floors, four-poster beds, cozy sitting rooms, en-suite bathrooms and vaulted canvas ceilings, Chindenis spacious tents are so inviting you could be forgiven for never wanting to leave your room.
The lush and wide permanent lagoon which stretches out from just beneath your own private balcony ensures that you need make little effort as you lazily watch all types of game parade before you in the joys of the verdant pantry at your feet. Ancient ebony trees with their sweet fruit shade the bar and dining area and an adjacent, gently sloping walkway provides access to a lagoon-side retreat. From here, guests can enjoy an open air dining experience or the spectacular sundown as it reflects from the still waters of the lagoon.
Chindeni is located 6 km from Bilimungwe. An early morning walk between the camps will provide an ideal opportunity to enjoy two of our trail camps in one stay.
