Mango Opinion
Mala Malas location in the Sabi Sands is likely the most game-rich terrain in South Africa. The wildlife viewing is beyond stellar. Since the reserve is over 50 years old, animals have grown up in the presence of vehicles and are utterly at ease in front of them. Sable Camp is basically an extension of the Main Camp with the same great game viewing and same recent lovely refurbishment.
Mala Mala is located in the game-rich Sabi Sands Reserve, adjacent to Kruger National Park and offers exceptional Big Five game viewing and photographic safaris. Guests can enjoy sunrise and sunset game drives or bush walks, accompanied by experienced game rangers and trackers in an area renowned for its exceptional game viewing.
Mala Mala is a haven of understated luxury combining warm comfort and superb service with unrivalled views of the Sand River and surrounding bushveld. It is truly a place of legends where rare photographs, old maps and extraordinary mementos rub shoulders with the works of renowned contemporary wildlife artists. The camp is an unfenced oasis in the middle of the bush.
Mala Mala Sable Camp is a smaller, more intimate version of Mala Mala Camp and is ideal for those seeking a more private and secluded safari experience. Mala Mala Sable Camp is situated at the southern end of Mala Mala Camp in a prime elevated position overlooking the Sand River and surrounding bushveld. Sable Camp can accommodate a maximum of 20 guests in 7 suites – some of which can accommodate 3 guests sharing. It may also be reserved exclusively for between 14 and 20 guests.
