Sakatia Lodge is situated at the foot of the Sacred Mountain and Nature Reserve on Nosy Sakatia on the west coast of Nosy Be, Madagascar. Sakatia Island offers unspoiled fauna and flora endemic to this area. It's only 6.5 km long and 2 km wide at its widest point, inhabited by 305 people and has no roads, only foot paths, so guests can explore its beauty and deserted beaches without crowds.
The lodge features nine bungalows and two villas, with various bed arrangements to ensure all types of travelers can be accommodated from couples to families. They all have comfy beds, en-suite bathrooms and beautiful views. The main lodge's facilities include a lounge & bar area and a separate restaurant that's fringed by the forest and overlooks the sparkling, turquoise ocean.
The island is fringed by a beautiful coral reef teeming with vibrant fish. A dive centre offers scuba diving. snorkeling and specialty courses, such as night diving, environmental diving and search & recovery. Sakatia Lodge offers quad biking, deep sea fishing, horse riding, tracking and exploring other islands nearby. Another unique option for guests is spear fishing, led by an experienced guide who uses sustainable practices.
