Mango Opinion
A lovely option in Tana. The hotel while in the heart of the city offers peace and tranquility with it's lovely gardens and quiet space. The interior is fun and quirky and each room has a unique style. The only downside is navigating the narrow stairwell.
A haven of peace in the Antananarivo city center, the Pavillon de L'Emyrne Hotel occupies a beautiful traditional building dating from 1930. It's a delightfully charming hotel that highlights its colonial architecture with the design and decor. The hotel fully reflects the soul of its owner, who put all her heart and energy into the restoration and development of this facility. Furniture and antiques unearthed in the capital here and there, and then restored, create an atmosphere of a romantic bygone era. Boasting a beautiful view of the royal hill and plains, the hotel is located in the heart of the old city in a neighborhood teeming with busy restaurants and shops.
Twelve rooms welcome guests, who may also make use of the many terraces, the garden, a library, sauna, massage room. Each room has an individual bathroom, a satellite television, a telephone, an individual safe, a reversible Split air-conditioner, and a minibar fridge. Wifi is free, and available in all the hotel area.
Antananarivo is full of history and culture. As the largest city on the island of Madagascar, it has been an economic and political hub since well before colonization. In the city and in the surrounding areas, all eighteen of the Malagasy ethnic groups can be found providing a rich exploratory experience. Surrounding the city are three ridges that intersect at their highest point. The Manjakamiadana royal palace is located at the summit of these hills and is visible from every part of the city and the surrounding hills. And the city skyline is a jumble of colorful, historic houses and churches.
