Camp Hwange

Ideally situated in a private concession inside the Hwange National Park, Camp Hwange offers the chance to have a unique experience with excellent safaris both by vehicle or on foot. The guides, arguably considered to be amongst the best in Afric, offer you a chance to discover the world where you are a part of the mosiac of life. All eight chalets overlook a permanent waterhole. Each spacious and airy thatched chalet is furnished with stylish simplicity, with en-suite bathroom facilities. The chalets have their own large surrounding area with a complete vista of the waterhole so that you may observe and truly appreciate the wildlife, in their natural habitat. Wanting to only leave a ‘green footprint’, conservation was the driving force in the construction of Camp Hwange. Solar energy provides all the hot water and power to the camp. Building materials have been chosen to blend in with the surrounding bush.

Reminiscent of original safari ideals, where activities are focused on immersion, walking safaris are the main way guests will explore the surrounding wilderness. The camp also offers game drives during the day and nighttime for those not inclined to going on foot. Led by experienced and knowledgeable guides, you will immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the bush, tracking the wildlife that hide amid the grassy shrub land. Hampers of delicious food and refreshing beverages accompany every adventure into the bush, perfect for lunch under the African skies!
