Lake Kariba sits on the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia and is Africa's largest man-made lake. It is based around the Zambezi River which was initially dammed for hydro electric power. The shoreline of Lake Kariba is over 2000 kilometers long and is home to many species of flora and fauna.
Matusadona National Park is located on the shores of Lake Kariba and is home to several fabulous safari camps. Rich in wildlife, this location lends to excellent land based safaris as well as water activities. Boat cruises and fishing are additions to the experience. Camp locations can be lake side where elephants wander past your tent to play in the lakes shoreline.
