Sametu Camp

Welcome to the humble little bush camp that offers a unique opportunity to witness the teeming wildlife concentrations of the Central Serengeti.  Situated at the heart of the Serengeti National Park, the camp resides at the eastern edge of the infamous Seronera Valley, which is often referred to at the 'predator capital of Africa'. Activities are centered around exploring the Serengeti by vehicle as well as optional hot air balloon rides. The area boasts an impressive array of wildlife with large herds attracting the myriad predators that the valley is known for. 

The immediate area offers excellent year round wildlife viewing due to dense resident populations of large game including: lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, giraffe, hippo, buffalo and several species of antelope. When the great wildebeest and zebra migration thunders through twice a year, game viewing is unbeatable. The deliberately rustic eco-lodge is managed in tune with the surrounding pristine wilderness. Accommodations consist of just six spacious tents with en suite bathrooms and a comfortable bed round.There is a main lodge tent, which contains the lounge, library, dining room, bar and sundowner/fire pit area. Gourmet meals may be served by the flicker of candle lamps with the stars overhead.
