This is an excellent lodging option in Murchison National Park. Nile Safari Lodge overlooks the Nile River and is just downstream from Murchison Falls. Recently rebuilt, we have not been to the new version, but are excited to visit. The lodge has their private boat launch which enables guests to access the water directly.
Nile Safari Lodge is nestled on the southern bank of the River Nile and offers exclusive accommodation adjacent to one of the most romantic locations in Africa, Murchison Falls National Park. Fully rebuilt in 2019, its 6 bandas, 1 family banda and 1 honeymoon suite have set a new standard for lodging in the park. Luxury bandas include a monsoon shower as well as an outdoor shower, a deep, freestanding bathtub, fans and a large verandah on which to relax and watch the river. The honeymoon banda has all of the aforementioned plus a private plunge pool and a king-sized star bed. The family banda accommodates up to nine guests (with use of the day bed) and has its own private swimming pool and great room for relaxing.
The lodge has an onsite restaurant with its own greenhouse for fresh produce, a lounge and bar, a beautiful infinity pool, and will soon have a spa with a full range of treatments. Accompanying facilities include a bar, veranda, an open fire strategically positioned for gazing at Africa's starlit skies, and the crystal clear swimming pool perfect after a hot game drive. The staff takes great pride in sharing their love and knowledge of their homeland, and in doing so will instill a love and enthusiasm for this exceptionally beautiful area that stays with guests forever. Activities include boat trips, drives to the top of Murchison Falls, game drives on the banks of the Nile, walking safaris, sundowner cruises, fishing, and village and cultural visits.
