Entebbe, Uganda is located on the north shore of Lake Victoria. Prior to Independence, Entebbe was the capital and seat of government. This is also home to the International Airport. Most visitors overnight here on arrival before going on safari or starting their primate adventures. This town is compact, clean and charming. There are several nice hotel options from small family run guesthouses to bigger full service hotels.
About an hour away is Kampala the capital. We rarely have clients venture here unless they have interest in a longer stay. For example, an hour way by boat over the lake is Ngamba Island. This is a great chimpanzee sanctuary and very much worth a visit for a half day tour or even an overnight chimpanzee interaction activity.
