Sussi and Chuma get consistent great reviews for their service and friendly atmosphere. This clump of properties, Tongabezi, Sussi and Chuma and River Club are located about 25 minutes outside of town. For some, this is great since the properties are smaller and removed from the hubbub of town. For others, this is a daily hassle to get to the sites and activities of the area.
Sussi Lodge and Chuma House are named after David Livingstone's faithful friends and consists of an exclusive, up market lodge and two spacious two-bedroom villas; both of which take full advantage of their enchanting river-bank setting. Guest accommodation consists of 12 luxury tree-houses, built into the living canopy of giant ebony trees lining the bank. Each unit has a private view of the river. All tree-houses include en-suite toilet, basin, shower and bath, viewing deck, mini-bar, mosquito net, overhead fans, tea/coffee making facilities, and hair dryer.
The main lodge building features a spectacular raised bar/lounge deck, open air dining area, swimming pool and lawns sweeping down to the waters edge. Other facilities include a curio shop, conference facilities, and evening campfire pit. The Safari Spa is available for guests to relax and unwind after a long day in the bush.
Guests can choose from a guided tour of Victoria Falls, game drives in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, cultural tours of Livingstone including a visit to the Museum and The Maramba Village, nature walks in the surrounding area, shopping tours in Livingstone Town, early morning or sunset river cruise on our 12 seat boat, or fishing in the Zambezi River.
