La Petite Dauphine is a lovely option nearby to our favorite Cape Wine Lands village of Franschhoek. We like the beautiful setting and variety of room styles. Their restaurant Bistro Bon Bon is great as well.
La Petite Dauphine is a historical working fruit & wine farm with superior accommodation, situated just two kilometers from the village of Franschhoek “The Gourmet Capital of South Africa” in the heart of the Cape Winelands and a playground for diverse interests.
There are 9 suites to choose from – all superbly decorated by our interior design studio. All our bedrooms are en-suite with views over dams, sun kissed orchards, vineyards and the breathtaking Franschhoek mountains. Our suites are fully climate controlled; bathrooms have underfloor heating and bedrooms feature cozy fireplaces for those chilly winter nights. You will also find hairdryers, soft gowns, fluffy towels and all other amenities that will make your stay truly unforgettable.
Guests may enjoy a hand crafted breakfast at Bistro Bob Bon. The café has been skillfully converted from a 200 year old wine cellar. Nestled under majestic oak trees the café terrace offers a glimpse into refined country life with ponds, vineyards, and orchards. The dramatic Franschhoek Mountains form a perfect backdrop to the café setting. Inside the bistro terracotta tiles, earthen walls and exposed wood rafters create a charming country feel.
