Mango Opinion
Cape Heritage still offers guests great value for a charming boutique hotel with a central walking location. Cape Heritage is historic which translates to charming, but the rooms on the street side can be noisy.
Situated in Heritage Square in the heart of Cape Town, the Cape Heritage Hotel is an eclectic 4-star boutique hotel. Originally built in 1771, the hotel has 15 individually decorated bedrooms that retain the charm of the original architectural style but are also equipped with modern comforts. Amenities include extra length king size beds, a selection of pillows, en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and heating, international power points, safes and fully stocked mini-bars, and free wifi.
The centerpiece of the hotel is the courtyard, around which five renowned and independent restaurants provide great food in a vibrant atmosphere. Caveau is a lively wine bar and deli. Strega offers informal Italian cuisine and is known as a good value. Savoy Cabbage serves eclectic International cuisine. Africa Café is famous for its huge variety of African dishes. Finally there is the Ponana Bar, always one of the liveliest night spots in Cape Town. There are many things to see during your visit to Africa’s most cosmopolitan city. Tours of the Cape Peninsula, historic Robben Island, white shark expeditions and Table Mountain are a few of the interesting options available. We will give you a list of Mango's favorite places to dine from casual bistros to award winning restaurants.
