Beho Beho is an off the beaten path gem. The cottages are beautiful and luxurious with indoor and outdoor showers. You will want to stay in and EAT here all day, lounging in the infinity pool overlooking the park while being pampered by their staff. The game viewing is good and interesting.
Beho Beho is set in an oasis in the highlands of Selous National Park. Nine stone built and palm thatched cottages reveal unrivaled vistas of the Africa bush and are designed as private homes with individuality and flair. Each has a veranda, a separate dressing room and an open air shower.
The lodges main area includes an open sided lounge and dining area, together with the cocktail bar and billiards room. The swimming pool and deck are an ideal place for a post safari cool off.
A specialty of the camp are the guided walking safaris, starting early and lasting from an hour to three hours culminating in breakfast at a prearranged shady spot or at a rendezvous with a vehicle to go back to camp for a relaxing brunch.
Beho Beho also has a number of boats stationed at Lake Tagalala for lake excursions offering close encounters with the resident hippo, and crocodile and tons of birds. They culminate in breakfast under a shady tree and a walk to the nearby hot springs for a therapeutic swim in the warm mineral waters. The camp is ideally located on a crossroads of animal migratory routes and elephant, buffalo, waterbuck, giraffe, wild dog and hyena, to name just a few. They have a tendency to wander freely through the camp, offering guests fantastic encounters with wildlife.
