This is smallest of the Onguma properties with just four tents. It has a lovely intimate feel and is tucked up at the top of the private reserve so is very quiet. With only four rooms it is easy to take over on an exclusive basis.
Onguma Treetop Camp is a small and intimate camp, especially designed for those travelers who would like to truly experience the bush in all its raw splendor. This is where guests are able to come and relax for a few days in the midst of their busy traveling schedule, and just breathe in the aromas of the bush and take in all the wilderness that this place has to offer.
The Camp itself is built on wooden stilts set amongst the tree tops, consists of only four thatched rooms with canvas walls, a dining room and a main complex. Each thatched room is decorated with natural materials and soothing neutral tones to help guests connect with the beauty of Etosha. The watering hole is an impressive place where giraffe, zebra, lion, and many other species of antelope come to quench their thirst.
The nature reserve boasts over thirty different animal species consisting of plains game including kudu, giraffe, eland, oryx, zebra, and many more as well as predators such as lion, cheetah, leopard, being common residents of the area. During the summer months the reserve becomes a bird-watchers paradise with thousands of species migrating to the wetlands. Guests can enjoy game drives on Onguma Reserve. Alternatively, guests can also participate in a nature drive into Etosha National Park where you will have the opportunity of viewing wildlife in the largest national park in Namibia.
