This is a stylish little tented camp located outside the Namutoni Gate on the Eastern boundary of Etosha NP. We suggest this when people might be spending a lot of time in and around Etosha.
Onguma means the place you don't want to leave. With a stunning main building and seven tents providing private, exclusive accommodation, Onguma Tented Camp, certainly lives up to its name.
Accommodations consist of seven spacious tents extending into a horseshoe design from the camp, which allows for both the privacy and fantastic views. Each tent is designed with the same attention to detail and has a feeling of natural luxury. Textures such as stone, suede, linen and steel create a setting that is sleek and modern but also inherently of the earth. The tents feature an indoor and outdoor shower, a gorgeous modern interpretation of an old zinc bath, a separate toilet, two stone basins and a private sitting area.
The nature reserve boasts over thirty different animal species consisting of plains game including kudu, giraffe, eland, oryx, hartebeest, zebra, impala and many more roam freely as well as predators such as lion, cheetah, leopard, being common residents of the area.The latest addition to the already abundant wildlife at Onguma Nature Reserve is a family of black rhinos. During the summer months the nature reserve becomes a bird-watchers paradise with thousands of species migrating to the wetlands. Guests can enjoy game drives on Onguma Nature Reserve. Alternatively, guests can also participate in a nature drive into Etosha National Park where you will be afforded the opportunity of viewing various game in the largest national park in Namibia.
