Going where the wind takes her, Whitney is a Hoosier in her roots and made her way to Portland by way of Arkansas, South Dakota, and Washington. Traveling runs deep in Whitney’s blood and has been a part of her life since childhood. Her childhood trips turned into a passion while in college and discovering the hidden treasures of her college town.
Whitney loves long road trips where she can find concrete dinosaurs and anything that is the world’s largest. Whitney’s favorite US trip was a round trip road trip between Little Rock, Arkansas and South Dakota. Outside of the US, Whitney’s favorite trip was an expedition to South Africa where she studied vervet monkeys, baboons, and chimpanzees.
Helping Whitney live her dream of traveling the world is a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Ball State University and a master’s degree in Higher Education from the University of Central Arkansas.
In her free time, Whitney can be found playing roller derby with the Rose City Rollers, hanging out with her adorable cats, or adventuring to the weird roadside attractions of the Northwest.
