Sabora's guest tents gives just about all other tents on earth a serious case of tent envy. The library tent connecting 2 adjacent tents is great for families with older children and groups. This is an unbeatable location for viewing the annual wildebeest migration in June and July as it makes its way towards the Masai Mara.
Sabora is closest to the most game rich plains of the Grumeti Reserves so this is a good option for those looking for more safari and less luxury retreat. Lounging away on the day beds under an umbrella right on the Serengeti Plains is pretty spectacular.
Striking the perfect balance between the spirit of classic tented safaris and timeless modernity, Singita Sabora Tented Camp is located right on the Serengeti plains, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the camp’s unrivalled setting and maximizing the thrill of sleeping under canvas. With a total renovation and redesign in 2020, this camp is one of the most striking camps in the Serengeti, offering the perfect blend between bush luxury and rugged wilderness.
Featuring nine tented suites set close to the ground, the camp style offers modern interpretations of campaign furniture evoke the romance of East African adventures. Each suite offers sweeping views, a meditation deck, fitness area and outdoor sala with daybeds. They also boast a beautifully curated kitchenette and dining area. In the main lodge, there’s a separate pool area, two intimate dining rooms and an open-plan bar and lounge – all adding to Sabora’s understated look, which emphasizes tailored luxury. Natural materials bring the savannah effortlessly inside, creating a seamless immersion into the land.
Offering superb game-viewing opportunities all year round, the camp is also set on the Great Wildebeest Migration route; and guided game walks on foot further enhance experiencing the Serengeti plains up close.
