Mango Opinion
The rooms and lodge are stunning and all about all the luxuries a safari can offer. The Grumeti corridor is a gorgeous and totally exclusive area. This is a spectacular location for viewing the annual wildebeest migration from May to July as it makes its way North towards the Masai Mara. Faru Faru makes an amazing wilderness retreat at the end of an adventurous safari.
Faru Faru is our favorite of the properties on Grumeti Reserves. The design is very Singita - modern and natural with lots of texture and a pinch of heaven.
Set within Singita’s 350,000-acre private reserve in northern Tanzania, Faru Faru embodies a fresh take on African bush appeal and ushers in a new era of luxury wilderness safaris.
Singita Faru Faru’s relaxed approach to luxury forms a golden thread throughout this easy-going lodge in the heart of the Serengeti. Its contemporary African décor and design and close-up views of a busy waterhole alongside the Grumeti River invite continuous connections with nature, while vast outdoor decks, an interactive kitchen and multiple airy enclaves for dining and drinks add personality to every culinary moment. The café-style bar at the heart of the lodge hums with a subtle sparkle that spills over to the pool area and firepit, making for magical evenings under starlit skies.
Inspiring a profound sense of wellbeing, undiluted natural light and breathtaking views over the river and savanna plains flow seamlessly into Faru Faru’s airy bedroom suites, where every creature comfort is catered for with intuitive ease.
Activities available are day or night game drives, guided walking safaris, archery and lawn croquet. Hot air balloon rides can be booked upon request. Among the wildlife visitors might expect are zebra, wildebeest, gazelle, white colobus monkeys, crocodiles, lions, elephants, rare black rhinos and leopards.
