Al Moudira is on the west bank of the Nile, at the gateway to Luxor. The hotel is an oasis of greenery surrounded by the desert, with a eight-hectare garden with a variety of fruit trees: lemon, orange, mandarin, mango and guava. Palm trees, hibiscus and eucalyptus line the brick paths. In the middle of the garden is a pool, a sanctuary of freshness perfectly integrated into the natural setting.
Al Moudira offers its visitors 54 rooms that possess the charms and splendor of an Ottoman palace. All rooms have air conditioning, satellite television and mini bar, and the windows have mosquito nets and inner wooden shutters. The architecture consists of domes and arches woven together with columns, canopies and arabesques. Stone and ceramic fountains add a refreshing touch to the peace and tranquility of the pavilions.
While at the hotel, dine in the main Pavilion restaurant with a chef who prepares a different menu every evening, mixing Mediterranean, Eastern and European flavors. Guests can also enjoy drinks and light snacks by the pool or late night at the Eastern Bar. Once you're ready to relax and unwind, Turkish baths and massages are also available. Local attractions include the Karnak and Luxor Temples, the Tomb of Nefertari and a visit to the Valley of the Kings and Queens.
