This lodge is great value for the area. While you do have an earlier start to your day to get to the crater it is worth it with the costs savings.

It consists of 20 spacious suites in cottages built in the style of an old colonial farm offering guests a relaxing, quiet atmosphere surrounded by beautiful gardens. The main building, consists of a lounge, a restaurant and a large terrace from where there are spectacular views of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Immerse yourself in the area by trekking the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, exploring the farm, visiting Masai villages, coffee farms and local brick makers, or refreshing the body and spirit in the spa. With a picnic lunch depart in the morning for the Ngorongoro Crater to observe the incredible fauna which gathers on the vast meadows on the crater floor. The crater floor consists of a number of ecological environments that include grassland, swamps, forests and Lake Makat, a central soda lake filled by the Munge river. All these various habitats attract various wildlife to drink, wallow, graze, hide or climb.
